Mauritania

In Mauritania, UNICEF uses the Adolescent Kit is utilized to support adolescents ages 10-19, including those who are refugees, associated with armed forces and armed groups, and those with disabilities. The Kit is integrated in UNICEF adolescent development and participation, education and child protection programmes which are implemented together with local partners in Mauritania. Among the contexts in which the Adolescent Kit is used are school clubs, peace culture associations and youth associations. UNICEF has supported the capacity development of its partners to utilize the Kit through training programmes for camp teachers, community hosts, government officials and young people themselves.
